Since shopping is a leisure activity rather than a necessity in the future, this image explores the building blocks of the Metro Mela as a child's toy or set that is similar to fake kitchen sets or dolls houses. The image plays on this concept and uses simplified versions of the various spaces in the building.

Play shopping example 2
The aim for this render is to transform the spaces in the building into a play shopping toy such as the ones shown above. The most interesting details of these toys are the rounded corners and the bright colours.
⛱️ Setting the Scene
I set up an initial 3D model with elements of kids toys and furniture as well as creating an opening to act as a window in the play room. The scene itself is from the viewpoint of a child so it was important that the elements closer to the floor are detailed.
🤔 Progress Review
Above is an initial render I did after applying all the materials and adjusting the lighting. I also incorporated one of my own sketches as the image for the photo frame.
I feel that there needs to be more of the building included in this toy set which can also just be fragments or blocks that are lying on the ground. I do like the plastic texture on the toys but perhaps I can start to incorporate the rounded edges as well.
Another point discussed was to link or relate it somehow to the rest of the renders and pull elements of the actual shopping instruments, textures and colour palette into this image as well so the next render will aim to incorporate these suggestions.
After this render, I changed the shutter material so that the texture matches the scale of the room. I also wanted to link this image with the other renders so I have introduced a new scene within the room by opening the shutter on the left.
